Where did Spring go??!

April 24th, 2005 by acire82

Ok, maybe i bitched a wee bit too much about Spring… I take it back. Looks like spring just disappeared and Summer jumped right in… It BLOODY HOT now. Gaaaah >.<"

I’ve come to realize that its human nature to want what you can’t have. And then when you get what you think you wanted, you realize its not what you wanted at all. (Sucks.)

I have to admit, its too hot but its very pretty outside now. Its a wonderful thing being able to just kick back and relax at the beach with nothing to do. Did that yesterday and ok, the sun disappeared for a little bit, but other than that it was gorgeous outside. Wish I could sit by the beach everyday and not do anything.

I was heading down to the beach and I passed a tree lined avenue- the trees were full of pink blossoms, not cherry blossoms, i have no idea what they were… but it was one of those picture perfect moments/movie moments/anime moments, the wind began to blow and there was a shower of pink petals as I passed… very pretty and yet at the same time, oddly surreal.

But anyways, since summer has arrived early, I think I’ll go outside and enjoy some of that sun.

8 Hours to Freedom… well almost…

April 20th, 2005 by acire82

Its almost 3am, in 8 hours, I will officially be free… from school, that is. Final exam, its the BIG one and if you’re wondering, No… I haven’t finished studying… I just started actually. Ah, typically me. But I’ll pass, I’m pretty sure I will.

Of course, at this point of time I just don’t care anymore. Its always like that for the final exam, by the time you get to the last one, no one gives a damn anymore. You just want to get it over and done with.

And then in a month, I’ll be back in school again for summer courses… well, just one and it sounds really fun (of course what you think of as fun is absolutely subjective). 3 hours, twice a week learning about "Non-Western Theatre"… ie, I get to sit aound and watch Kabuki, Noh, Wayang kulit and Chinese Opera ^-^  hehehe, sounds like fun to me. Hey for 3 credits, i’m not complaining. I figure that I’m not far from graduation, I have all my requirements and specializtions… I just don’t have any electives hahaha. So after my sojourn in Japan, I get to come back and do things like… astronomy and music appreciation or Food n Nutrition… gaaah. Maybe I’ll pick up another language along the way hmmm… I was looking at courses online today… they’re offering courses in Greek and Polish… hmmm… never knew my uni had courses like that. Thought they just had the usual French, Italian and Spanish.

And day after tomorrow, i get to sit outside my advisor’s office for 2 hours waiting in line to see him (and possibly not get to see him even)… why? because the guy doesn’t take any appointments… yaaaay for me.

Anyways, should probably get back to studying… i have… 5 and 1/2 hours to exam time… Naaa@rF

Memory L@ne

April 14th, 2005 by acire82

Took a walk down memory lane today for some strange reasons… well i suppose we all do things due to lack of sleep and waaaaay too much coffee…

I never realized that I had drifted from so many people. We live, we learn and we change… sometimes without even knowing how much we do. Its a very sad thing to look at you past only to realize the people closest to you then are no longer in your life.

I’m not saying its everybody, and I’m not saying its my fault (ok, maybe it is in some unfathomable way) or theirs. The fault doesn’t lie with anyone, sometimes it just happens. Sometimes we don’t realize that we’ve drifted until we meet/speak only to find the only thing you can talk about is the past. Its just sad when its someone whom you thought would always be there.

On the other hand, there will be people in your life who remain close to you, no matter the distance, no matter how seldom you talk. It just happens i suppose, i don’t know why (I’m not complaining). I’m bad with keeping in touch… as many of you know… -_-"

Hmm, melancholy… as i said before, coffee and no sleep can do strange things… add sugar and you’ve got all the entertainment you need for the rest of the night.

What else what else?

I think in future, during exam/paper time i should avoid trips down melancho… i mean memory lane…. point proven.

6 Reasons why I Hate Spring

April 6th, 2005 by acire82

I hate Spring, no really… I do… -_-"

Why?

1. Because it bloody rains ALL the time, its soooo dreary, dark and gloooomy. I think the government should change its national emblem from the maple leaf to MOSS. Just because its so dank, dark and damp… I’m surprised the city doesn’t rust shut.

2. HAY FEVER…. AAAARRRGH… >sneeze, sniff, sneeze, sneeze<

3. Birds. You know its bloody spring when little chickies start hatching. Yes, they’re very cute but that’s until they start opening their beaks. And for your information, they don’t chirp, they bloody SQUAWK. If you think they sound like what they do in cartoons, you know, the cute little chirp, chirp sounds… you’re sadly mistaken. These birds don’t chirp… they SQUAWK. and guess what! They have to nest in the tree directly infront of MY window. Its wouldn’t be so bad if the birds squawk when I’m away and out of the house but nooooooo, they have to bloody begin their squawking at 5! 5 in the freaking morning >hiss hiss<.

…One day I will kill them with a flame thrower…

4. Spring means the school term is coming to an end… that means final exams. yahoo, hazzah and yippy ya yay, the bi-annual no-sleep, caffeine and niccotine fest is back yet again. woop-de-doo. Can you feel the excitement…

Ok, so maybe the nicotine and caffeine fest isn’t such a bad thing, but finals are always a bad thing.

5. Its PAPER time! That’s riiight, its that joyous time of year when research papers (worth anywhere from 30-50% of your final grade) are due. One more reason to celebrate the bi-annual no-sleep, caffeine and nicotine fest… think i shall call it NsCN Fest.

6. Daylight Saving… that is such a pain in the ass. I lose 1 hour of precious sleep time when daylight saving hits. And then of course, you have to change the time on all your clocks, and everything just starts an hour earlier… gaaaaah…. of course, on the bright side it can also be used as an excuse if you missed classes that day.

So yeeaaah, its… Spring.

Ever have one of those days when you just feel like walking into the first wall you see… repeatedly? welcome to my life.

Its a beautiful Easter Weekend here in Vancouver… with the clouds, and the rain and the hail…yes, it just hailed. In fact its been the most "perfect weekend" in ages. So much for spring, there’s snow up in the mountains again and me thinks the temperature is dropping. Let’s hope the sun comes out some time soon. I get depressed when i don’t see the sun …grrr… -_-"

And it does not help that my heater is broken so my house reminds me of a bloody tomb because its so quiet, empty and freezing. I’m beginning to realize what it would be like to live in an igloo… well, since i already live in Adanac, in a wooden hut (turning into an ice block) on a mountain side, I suppose living in an igloo would fit me riding a moose to school. Ah yes, did i mention that i have a pet bear that lives in my backyard… actually there are 2 of them.

hmmm, that reminds me…Su recently told me how remarkably useless my blog is, she claims its because i don’t say anything about my daily life (that’s the point my dear… its just for fun and its not meant to be useful). Well, i would probably add more about my daily life if i did stuff outside of work and school. (and for your information, NO. there ARE no updates on my love life and NO, there WILL be no updates on my love life.)

ps, Su… I’m sorry my blog is not entertaining enough for you. I try, really I do! I could try to think of amazingly witty things to say… (note key word… try). Uhm, here’s one for you… did you know British Columbia was founded through a joint expedition between the Brits and the Columbians? (that was from Murc by the way hahaha). Maybe if I talk to enough people, i can fill my blog with with what they say, then i won’t have to think of anything remarkably funny/amusing to tell you.

0k Su, this is for you. I went shopping today (yes, without you because you are all the way at the other end of ADANAC.) and you would be amused to know that i bought a skirt >ooooooh<. When i get a nice top, i shall take pictures and send them to you. (hehehe, if and when i get around to doing that ^-^)

Anyways, i think i actually have work to finish. I do realize that I have a midterm tomorrow but  Su, because of your inspiring words, I decided to push all that aside to entertain you.

(And yes Su, i know I’m being a cow.) Muahahahahahaha!!

Where do I go from here?

March 25th, 2005 by acire82

Ok… I’ve got the blog… now what the heck do i do with this?? Hahaha, typically of me. I’ve set up countless online journals and what-nots only to have them all forgotten within a week.

What do I say about my non-existent life, hmmm. I wake up, go to school, come home and sleep. On days that i have to work, i wake up, go to school, go to work and then come home to sleep. On weekends i hibernate and sentence myself to exile (not that anything productive comes out of it).

Well, its good friday today. Just a note… I can’t remember the last time i had sunshine on a good friday. Today was no exception, it was cloudy and overcast just like any other good friday. I just think its a little weird. In over 20 years, i can’t recall a single good friday’s that was bright and sunny. I don’t know if its just me, but trust me to think of the weirdest things at the strangest times.

Anyways, i think i’ve said my bit for the day… the CSI marathon calls hehe.
